Campaign Story

“Statelessness” is a Documentary Film Series.

About The Film

Imagine being born invisible. You are alive but can’t prove you exist. You are sure you are human, but have no human rights. Today, more than 10 million people across the world are told they don’t belong anywhere. These people are called stateless. They often aren’t allowed to go to school, see a doctor, get a job, open a bank account, buy a house or even get married. Over a third of the world’s stateless are children…

The film project was inspired by the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) campaign to end statelessness.

The purpose of the documentary film series is to raise the voice of more than 10 million stateless people around the world, and to call many millions more together to stand up and end the inhumanity of statelessness.

Part of the mission is to screen the films, free to the public, in as many cities around the world as possible.

Release of the first film is planned for the end of 2018.
